During the past financial year the Supervisory Board of AS Tallink Grupp adopted the resolutions at its meetings and written resolutions in all together 7 times.
The most important resolutions were the following:
- to extend the term of office of a member of the Management Board Mr Keijo Mehtonen;
- the granting of the guarantee to the loan for the acquisition of the newbuilding no 1361 from Aker Finnyards Oy was approved;
- to pay a sponsor support to tennis-player Kaia Kanepi;
- the sale of the motorvessel “Meloodia” to Equinox Offshore Accommodation Limited of Singapore was approved;
- the agenda of the Annual General meeting of the Shareholders of 29 January 2008 was determined and, to make proposals to the shareholders in regards to the points of agenda was decided;
- to elect Mr Toivo Ninnas as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board;
- to nominate Mr Andres Hunt on the post of the Vice-Chairman of the Management Board;
- to extend the term of office of a member of the Management Board Mr Andres Hunt;
- the agreement between Tallink Line Ltd, a subsidiary of AS Tallink Grupp, and Boa RoRo AS of Trondheim, Norway about the sale of M/S Fantaasia was approved and the extension of the current charter agreement of M/S Fantaasia with Kystlink Estonia OÜ, a company related with the buyer, until the sale is completed was approved.
The Supervisory Board has regularly reviewed the overviews of the economic activities and financial results of the public limited company.
The Supervisory Board of AS Tallink Grupp reviewed the Annual Report of 01.09.2007 – 31.08.2008 and the profit distribution proposal of accounting year and approves the Annual Report of 01.09.2007 – 31.08.2008 and profits distribution proposal prepared by the Management Board.
The Supervisory Board also approves the activities of the Management Board during the period under review.
